An introduction to coaching our peers, students, and selves
With a few basic skills, you can help your friends, teammates, co-workers, and yourself reduce stress and get more accomplished. Why does coaching work? Through improved listening, empathy, and empowering questions, coaches help others explore issues and challenges more deeply to develop stronger ideas, plans, and actions. Coaches help individuals and teams identify and solve their own problems. People who are coached are more likely to be invested in solutions, and apply energy to actions when they are rooted in their own ideas.
Two seminars in the fall
Seminar 1: Thursdays, August 31, September 14, September 28 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Hollister 314
Seminar 2: Thursdays, October 19, November 2, November 16 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Hollister 314
Open to students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
